Day of procedure I shaved my head down myself at a #6 guard, which is about 3/4 inch. You can see my pre-op hairline a little better..

Before HT Hairstyle Here are some pics of my hair style a month before the procedure..  I wasn't very happy with the density in the front, although propecia seemed to work very well, and I didn't experience much additional loss.
