Reconstruction of the frontal and mid-scalp area.
Hair transplant surgery involving 3,512 grafts, for a total of 8,663 hairs. Average density of 2.46 hairs per follicular unit. Two-day procedure.
Medical treatment: Finasteride 1mg/day. Oral minoxidil 5 mg/day.

The two areas of hair loss are larger than in stage 4. They are still separated, but the band of hair between them is narrower and sparser. There is significant hair loss on the top of the scalp (the vertex).
