About
Dr. Felicidad Espinosa is a hair restoration specialist based in Málaga, Spain, with more than a decade of experience in hair transplantation and medical hair loss treatment. She is known for her meticulous approach, hands-on surgical involvement, and emphasis on creating natural-looking results tailored to each patient.
Dr. Espinosa holds a Master’s Degree in Hair Medicine and Transplantation from the University of Alcalá and a Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Medicine from the Universitat de les Illes Balears. In recognition of her clinical experience, the University of Alcalá appointed her as an Associate Lecturer for its Master’s program in Hair Transplantation, where she helps train and mentor physicians pursuing specialization in hair restoration. She is also a member of the Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SEME) and the Aesthetic Medicine Association of Castilla La Mancha (AMECLM).
A defining aspect of Dr. Espinosa’s practice is her commitment to physician-led care. She personally oversees and participates in every stage of the hair restoration process, from the initial diagnostic evaluation and surgical planning through graft extraction, placement, and post-operative follow-up.
Specializing in FUE hair transplantation, Dr. Espinosa places particular emphasis on hairline design and the technical details that contribute to a natural result. Graft angles, direction of growth, distribution, and density are carefully planned according to each patient’s existing hair characteristics, degree of hair loss, age, and long-term pattern of progression. Her goal is to create age-appropriate restorations that blend naturally with the patient’s existing hair rather than relying on a standardized approach.
Her practice also places significant emphasis on diagnosing the underlying causes and characteristics of hair loss before recommending treatment. Diagnostic tools may include TrichoScan analysis, micro-camera imaging, Wood’s lamp evaluation, and targeted laboratory testing. This allows Dr. Espinosa to determine whether a patient is an appropriate surgical candidate and to develop an individualized treatment strategy based on both current hair loss and anticipated future progression.
When appropriate, Dr. Espinosa may incorporate complementary regenerative and medical therapies into a patient’s treatment plan, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP), nanofat, Rigenera autologous micrografts, mesotherapy, carboxytherapy, and LED phototherapy.
Through her combination of surgical involvement, academic training, diagnostic evaluation, and individualized planning, Dr. Espinosa takes a comprehensive approach to hair restoration focused on achieving natural, balanced, and long-term results.
