About

I had a full head of hair well into my 20s.  In my late 30s, I began to notice a receding hairline, and thinning in the crown area.  I continued to experience significant hair loss into my 40s, even though minoxidil worked well on the crown area.  So, I started doing some research.  I first met Dr. Bernardino Arocha in the summer of 2010.  He quoted me a reasonable price, based on my research of several other hair transplant surgeons, and indicated that I needed approximately 3000 graphs in the frontal area to get a look of fullness.  At the time, I was a full-time law student, and needed to wait until I had adequate funding.

So, I returned to see Dr. Arocha about one year later.  He not only remembered me, he kept all of his promises, and I was able to have the hair restoration surgery on 9-1-2011.  His staff was excellent, attentive, and always polite.  I have had a great experience with Dr. Arocha, and the only discomfort I experienced from the entire procedure was just during the first couple of days directly after the surgery, and that was only from my donor area.

I highly recommend Dr. Arocha.  He is an artist, a man who keeps his word, and someone I completely trust.  I am truly grateful to Dr. Arocha for his integrity, and mainly for just caring.

Thank you!

Bald Class

Bald class 4

Norwood class 4

Characterized by further frontal hair loss and enlargement of vertex, but there is still a solid band of hair across the top (mid-scalp) separating front and vertex.

I am pursuing a legal career to become a litigator.  For better or worse, first impressions are often critical.  So, in order to look and feel my best I chose to correct my hair loss with hair restoration surgery.

Minoxidil has worked well in the crown area.

I am extremely pleased with Dr. Arocha and his staff.  I
had the surgery on Thursday, 9/1/2011. I took advantage of the Labor Day
weekend, and went back to school and work the following Tuesday.  I have absolutely no discomfort.  My wife informs me that in the donor area I
have only a very small scar that is completely hidden by my hair.  I will be adding pictures to chronicle my
hair growth results.

Hair restoration surgery is a solution I would highly recommend.

Since my hair restoration surgery was recently performed on 9-1-2011, I am waiting to see the
final results. However, I am already seeing tiny fine hairs grow where
no hair has grown for years. I am confident that I will have a renewed look very soon.

Do your homework.  I researched doctors and procedures for probably about 5 years before I went to Dr. Arocha.  I knew approximately what I should pay, and I had read several hundred testimonials about patients' experiences with their doctors and treatments.  Do your research until you feel comfortable about your decision.

Procedure 1

Day 30, One month since surgery I went in today for my one month post-op checkup.  I am quite pleased with my progress.  The donor area has healed completely with only a fine pink line at this point.  I am told that it will become a tiny white line over the next few months.  I was also told that over the next several months the transplant site will continue to grow.  I will continue to post pics each month.
