Post Op 6 Months Not a drastic change from 5th to 6th month. There are growth but VERY sparse. I think there's no question that I'm a slow grower compared to others on this forum but I think if I don't see some improvements over the next two months then I should be very concerned :( ckc
Post Op 5 Months I think it's safe to say I'm finally out of the doldrum phase. My scalp is still slightly pink in some areas but I've been stepping out without a hat which is a plus. As for growth, it appears I'm on the slow side comparing to others at my stage. I can see some growth but not a whole lot, not enough to wow me at least. Hopefully things will pick up soon. ckc
Post Op 4 Months Wished I had more to report at 4 months post op but not much has changed. My scalp is still pink which blows and minimal growth at this point to show for. I only see a few sprouts here and there. The only good news is I noticed less pimples over the last two weeks. The doldrum continues ... ckc
Post Op 3 Months Go away pimples! I can't wait for this doldrum stage to be over. I was hoping by this point the scalp color would return to normal but it's still a little bit pink which is preventing me from getting a hair cut. Scalp numbness is all gone but once in awhile I still feel a little bit of tightness in the back of my head. As for growth, I do see some very short hair growing out in some areas but I'm not sure if those are my native or transplanted hair. Will report back once I get over this doldrum phase.
Post Op 1 Month Today I hit the 1 month mark since the HT. So far everything appears to be on track. Majority of the grafts have shed as expected. Numbness in the scalp is about 90% gone. My scalp is still a little tight in the back area, sometime I feel like the hair near the lower crown area is being pulled on. I’m assuming this sensation is due to the scalp stretching when I lay my head down on a pillow. I was hoping all the redness in the recipient area would be gone by now but it’s still pink. That seems to be the only thing that is bothering me at this time. The scar is still red but appears to be healing well. I returned back to work last Monday after being out of the office for 3 weeks. I received many comments about my short haircut but no one noticed the redness in the recipient area. Maybe they noticed but didn’t want to say anything… oh well. When asked about why I cut my hair so short, I just tell them I wanted a new look for 2012. Next update will be at 3 month mark unless something significant happens.
