About

I started noticing my hair loss when I was late 20's, it was more a case of the hairling receding gradually and thinning slowly, nothing sudden but nonetheless noticeable to me.

I am now 38 and having got to the point where my hairline affected me enough to do something about it I began taking finpecia and using rogaine foam  before deciding on a hair transplant.

My Surgical Treatments to Date

I had a hair transplant on 15th May 2012 in Bangkok with Dr Pathomvanich, which totalled almost 3000 grafts and around 7500 hairs in total.

My Non Surgical Treatments

I take finasteride daily and use rogaine foam

Bald Class

Bald class 3A

Norwood class 3A

The Norwood Class A patterns are characterized by a predominantly front to back progression of hair loss. These patterns lack the connecting bridge across the top of the scalp and generally have more limited hair loss in the crown, even when advanced.

Procedure 1

Preop photos from surgery day I had my surgery 16 days ago in Bangkok. Landed in Bangkok on the Sunday morning, had consult on Monday and HT on Tuesday. Returned to clinic for 2 days following for hair wash then again on the Monday (6 days post-op) to have stictches removed. Flew home on Tuesday (7 days post-op) My surgery lasted for about 9 hours in total, pain wasn't bad, had quite a bit of pain back in the apartment on that first night but my girlfriend (god bless her) looked after me and I actually managed to sleep. I slept sat up on a couch for a week afterwards. I am now 16 days post-op, still have nearly all of the transplanted hairs and am really happy with the hairline that was designed and how it looks. I am used to having it like this now and am dreading the hairs falling out. Most of the scabs have fallen off and the scar is healing well. Lots of the dissolvable stictches have come out now.
