This local patient in his late 30’s sought out Hasson and Wong after conducting internet research and hearing about our reputation through word of mouth. He noticed hairline thinning as early as age 22 and wanted to restore the front to a reasonable degree without opting for anything too aggressive.
His donor hair was above average in both quality and quantity, providing ample supply to meet any potential future needs. His continued use of finasteride will reduce the likelihood of future thinning behind the transplanted areas. Given his moderate final hair loss pattern and any stability expected with medication, significant additional hair loss seems unlikely. Much of his projected loss has already occurred, and if he hasn’t yet reached his final hair loss pattern, he is very close. In this case, medication is more of an option than a necessity.
Dr. Hasson and team transplanted 2,500 grafts using the FUE method of extraction to rebuild the hairline and add density to the necessary areas of the frontal zone. 300 single-hair grafts placed at the front, with 1,752 double-hair grafts and 448 grafts containing 3–4 hairs used in the areas behind.
A .85mm motorized punch was utilized, and both the extraction and insertion procedures went seamlessly. These photos were taken at the clinic one-year post-op.
