This 38-year-old patient sought to enhance his hairline and address a small balding area on his crown. Recently, we have seen many patients who wish to complete both areas in a single visit.
In this case, we first addressed the crown, using 1630 grafts. On the second day, we completed the hairline with 1900 grafts. As we always emphasize, a well-planned strategy is crucial for a successful hair transplant. We maintained the existing height of the hairline and successfully filled it with 1900 grafts. The crown was filled with the necessary number of grafts. Thus, with a total of 3530 grafts, we achieved the desired results for both areas, as shown below.
For educational purposes, it is important to note that some patients come to us after having surgery at less reputable clinics. Although they may experience acceptable growth, these clinics often use more grafts than necessary, depleting the donor area by punching too deep to save time and finish in one day and limiting future options. These grafts are sometimes placed to create an unnaturally low hairline or in areas that do not require hair, destroying existing hair. Grafts are placed in the wrong direction resulting in an unnatural front appearance.
These are examples of poor strategy. Patients should understand that they are also paying for the expertise of a reputable clinic that delivers sustainable results over many years.
Please do your research and choose a clinic you can trust with your lifelong appearance.
