Question: It's been 1.5 months since my hair transplant. I've had a few pimples and popped them when they have been ready. Some of this popping has left scabs - are the follicles still okay? Answer: Popping pimples won't cause a loss of the follicle at 1.5 months after surgery. I've heard some hair restoration physicians state that it's safe to pop them and I have to admit that I have done this with every transplant I've had. However, others recommend either leaving them alone or lancing them with a sterilized needle. The issue here is the potential for infection and scarring rather than hair growth. David
