Procedure detail
This is a patient who came in recently for follow-up, approximately 11 months after his transplant.
He wanted to fill in the weak areas of his scalp, leaving the stronger areas alone, and we therefore filled in his vertex and frontal scalp, but left his frontal forelock and midscalp area untouched.
He received 965 single grafts, 2266 double grafts, and 574 big grafts, for a total count of 3805 grafts.
He is very happy with the results and understands that if he experiences further hair loss (e.g. in the frontal forelock area), we will have to transplant this for him.
Bald class
Norwood stage 3 Vertex
In terms of the receding hairline, stage 3 vertex balding is a less drastic version of stage 3.
However, people experiencing stage 3 vertex balding will also begin losing hair on the crown of their head. This often starts as one small bald spot.
