Hair restoration surgery before and after result images with 3131 grafts

Procedure detail

This is a 45 year old male hair restoration patient who requested density enhancement in his thinning frontal and crown regions. His donor hair demonstrated a very fine caliber and the donor region had limited elasticity. Based on the limitations of graft availability and on cosmetic priorities, it was decided that a higher density restoration would be planned for the frontal recessions in an attempt to best balance graft density with his preexisting higher density frontal tuft. The goal for the crown was to diminish the appearance of balding by creating a natural thinning appearance. A 3131 graft session was performed with 2131 grafts placed for a higher density frontal restoration and 1000 grafts placed for a homogeneous, lower density distribution in the crown.

Bald class

Bald class 3A

Norwood class 3A

The Norwood Class A patterns are characterized by a predominantly front to back progression of hair loss. These patterns lack the connecting bridge across the top of the scalp and generally have more limited hair loss in the crown, even when advanced.
