Procedure detail
The patient is a 47-year-old Asian male with a receding hairline and deep temples who wants to restore his hairline. The recipient area measured 40 cm2; the hair is coarse, black, with good density (80 follicles/cm2) and good scalp laxity. This patient is suitable for both FUT and FUE techniques, but he does not want a linear scar from FUT surgery, so the FUE technique was used.
- The recipient area measured 40 cm2 and we plan to do 40 grafts/cm2 because his hair is coarse and he wants to save his donor hair for his future session.
- FUE 1,620 grafts from the scalp were harvested with MAMBA device, punch size 1.0 mm. The details of hair grafts are: 1-hair grafts: 340 grafts, 1 1/2 hair grafts: 114 grafts, 2-hair grafts: 974 grafts, 3-hair grafts: 208 grafts.
