This patient came to visit me about a year ago. During the consultation he told me he wished to cover all the balding areas, with as many grafts as possible.The day of the surgery we reached 2916 grafts for 5834 hair.Here is the detail of the grafts: 765 FU1, 1524 FU2, 506 FU3, 102 FU4 and 19 FU5.In a case like this, when the surface to be covered is quite wide, it is very important to define the best strategy to adopt before the beginning of the surgery so to obtain a balanced global result.The anterior part (zones 1, 2 and 3) were privileged. On the hairline, 425 singles and in the second row 200 FU2 were placed. Zone 2 received the most beautiful FU3 and FU4 grafts in order to reinforce the density of the central core.The zones 4 and 5 were not of utmost importance so we placed the remaining grafts: mostly some FU2 and the latest natural FU1 cut at the end of the surgery.In the photo gallery you will see a precise summary, presented on a board, of the number of grafts placed per cm2 and the number of hair placed per cm2 for each zone.Additional notes:In a case like this one, the main questions are not ??? what density the doctor is able to reach??? or ??? what is the number of graft that the patient needs??? but the most important is to ensure an optimal handling of the maximum number of grafts reached considering that the patient wishes to cover the all the areas.Consequently, the density in zones 4 and 5 is lower (25 hair/cm??) compared to zone 2 (70 hair/cm??). However the results are satisfactory on those areas.Of course, ideally a second surgery would improve the result on that zones but the patient is very satisfied so I do not think he wants to make another hair transplant.You can see his post on this same forum

The two areas of hair loss are larger than in stage 4. They are still separated, but the band of hair between them is narrower and sparser. There is significant hair loss on the top of the scalp (the vertex).
