Procedure detail
This patient came to me to restore his temples that were deep. He wanted it to look conservative and natural. We used up in total 1380 grafts.
Equipment used: WAW FUE system with total of one new 0.85 punch . Saphire blade sized 1.4 for the bulk part and metal 45 degree angled blades size 1.1 and 0.8 for the last 1 cm of the temples/feathered zone.
Hair/graft ratio breakdown
1 Hair grafts - 285(mainly split up under microscope)
2 Hair grafts - 530 -> 1060 hairs
3 Hair grafts - 338 -> 1014 hairs
4 Hair grafts - 220 -> 880 hairs
5 Hair grafts - 7 -> 35 hairs
Total: 1380 Grafts - 3274 Hairs
Transection rate in this case was 4 % including partial transections.
Average: 2.37 hairs per graft.
Bald class
Norwood stage 3 Vertex
In terms of the receding hairline, stage 3 vertex balding is a less drastic version of stage 3.
However, people experiencing stage 3 vertex balding will also begin losing hair on the crown of their head. This often starts as one small bald spot.
