Hair transplant surgery before and after result photographs with 3500 grafts

Procedure detail

FUT performed on a 61 year old Caucasian male with:

- NW III vertex Class T
- Donor density of ~70-80 FU/cm2 in the occipital donor region and ~60-70 FU/cm2 in the temporal donor regions
- Hair diameter of ~62-74 microns 

Treatment plan:

A Follicular Unit Strip procedure with 3000-3500 follicular units to reconstruct the entire hairline, the central core and crown area.

Performed procedure (May 30th, 2013):

A Follicular Unit Strip Transplantation with 3500 FU:
* 407 single hair FU
* 2417 double hair FU
* 676 triple hair FU

Donor closing in double layer suture technique;
Parallel incisions (single, double and triple hair units) were made in custom-sized blades technique (~Cutting Edge blades of 0.75mm – 0.95mm).

In terms of the receding hairline, stage 3 vertex balding is a less drastic version of stage 3.
However, people experiencing stage 3 vertex balding will also begin losing hair on the crown of their head. This often starts as one small bald spot.
