Dr. Bessam Farjo of Farjo Hair Institute was trained at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and specialized in hair transplant surgery in Toronto, Canada. Bessam works along with their carefully trained team (including his wife Dr Nilofer Farjo, Dr Greg Williams and Dr Rachael Kay and team), to provide ultra-refined follicular unit hair transplantation in their state of the art clinics in Manchester and London, England
Dr Bessam Farjo provides state of the art advanced FUE - follicular unit excision (formerly known as follicular unit extraction) as well as FUT (strip surgery) using all of the latest techniques and refined tools.
Dr Farjo limits the number of patients he operates on each day to assure that everyone receives the care and attention they deserve. The results of his very refined follicular unit surgery are impressive and can be viewed on this recommendation profile. The Farjo Hair Institute are able to do mega sessions of all follicular units, up to 5000 grafts FUT and 2500 FUE in a day, depending on the patient’s needs. Dr Farjo is very careful to limit the size of the session to only that which can be done safely and with excellent rates of growth.
Dr Farjo specializes in FUE, FUT and state of the art hair transplant repair work. This often involves ‘recycling’ part of the old outdated grafts and redistributing them in a natural pattern. Other hair transplant procedures offered include implanting into Beards, moustaches, sideburns, eyebrows and other parts of the body. If the scalp is insufficient, they can also use beard, chest and abdomen hair as donor source.
Their clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission as a surgical facility of the highest standard.
Dr Bessam is a Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and is one of only 9 doctors worldwide who have attended every Annual World Congress since the organization’s 1st Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas in 1993. The only UK recipients in the 26 year history of the society.
Dr. Farjo has probably performed over 8,000 hair transplant procedures and has been awarded a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) in the category of plastic surgery.
Many have questioned why a hair loss expert like Dr. Bessam Farjo would allow himself to go bald. Like many other men suffering from hair loss, Dr. Farjo did initially decide to do something about it. But minoxidil did not work for him and finasteride was not yet available. Long ago, he did undergo hair transplant surgery but that was before the revolutionary techniques of today were available, adopted and widespread. Today, Dr. Farjo sports a cropped look and feels confident with his own appearance. But that doesn't stop Dr. Farjo from battling baldness on behalf of his patients and applying hair transplant techniques he's helped revolutionize.
