Concealing a Surgical Scar with Hair Transplantation - 11/5/2009 1:08:52 PM
| Tweet |
Question:
When I was 3 years old, I had a brain tumor and I have had a scar along the back of my neck for years. I was wondering if this is something that can be covered with hair restoration. Thanks for your time
Answer:
Depending on the location of the scar, you may be a candidate for hair restoration. Though hair growth in scar tissue has the potential to be less than the usual 90% plus success rate, in many cases, the appearance of a scar can be reduced and camouflaged by the transplanted hair growing through it.
