Non-Surgical
Treatments:

Proscar, saw palmetto & minoxidil from January 2008 - February 2009 then reducing to 1mg of Proscar to every other day until October 2009, carrying on with saw palmetto & regaine, replaced proscar with nourkrin since October 2009. Starting to use home laser kit 3 x weekly from November 2009.

 My Hair Loss Story.

Losing my hair since 18 yrs, now 30 yrs. Have been taking proscar, saw pallermo & minoxidil for 7 months before going ahead with transplant with Dr Rahal in August 2008.

Decided upon strip as results are proven to be more successful, fue does have good results but not on the scale of strip.

After much consideration decided to proceed with Dr Rahal, by far the best clinic, their service was amazing, the reults even better. I was treated so well from my initial enquiry right throught to the after care. I would describe my experience as perfect.

How has my hair loss affected me?

Over time more and more. Very confident male but paranoia about my hair stopped me from going out, hated the wind blowing back my hair so people could see my receeding hairline, now I have had transplant a huge weight has been lifted on my shoulders. I no longer think about hair loss.

What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?

The use of proscar, minoxidil & saw palmetto have literally stopped my shedding. Jan 2008 - February 2009 recommended dose.

February 2009 - October 2009 taking proscar every other day, minoxidil & saw palmetto everyday.

October 2009 - present stopped taking proscar, still using regaine everyday along with saw palmetto and nourkrin.

November 2009 - started using home laser in addition to the above.

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

August 2008 - Perfect, the way it was dealt with was so professional, I sat down with DR Rahal and he discussed various options and answered all my concerns. Every member of their staff went out of the way to make sure the operation went as smooth as possible and it did, it was perfect.

Results - amazed, now have a normal head of hair, no longer think about hair loss.

What hair loss treatments would I recommend?

Proscar (propecia), minoxidil & saw palmetto followed by a hair transplant.

After transplant continue medication to suit, I have discountinued propecia, replaced with herbal nourkrin ayear after operation. Also started home laser kit 14 months after op.

How has hair restoration surgery changed my life?

I am much much happier, positive and generally feel good. Has it changed my life, YES. I no longer think about hair loss and can get on with my life again. I like going out again, like talking to people more, I was a very outgoing person in life, it has now brought this characteristic back to me.I had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

 My general advice and suggestions.

Make sure the surgeon & clinic you choose answer your initial enquiries promptly & efficiently, this will tell you alot about their attitiude towards their surgery and aftercare. A lot of companies I enquired with did not get back to me or thought they were a cut above, having an arrogant approach to their potential clients tells you NO. Dr Rahals clinic were first class and made you feel good. Also check plenty of rsults through hair loss websites.
