63-years-old, Thai, male who has diffused thinning hair at the front towards the crown with evident hair grafts at the front. He underwent the first hair transplantation with 1,086 grafts placing at the front in 2001. He uses medication for hair loss on and off over 20 years. His donor hair looked average and his scalp skin is hard and thick. His donor hair density is 64 FU/cm2. He preferred FUT, however there was not enough grafts and we had to go ahead with FUE to get another 283 grafts. He underwent a combination of FUT and FUE (1,541 grafts from FUT and 283 grafts from FUE) a total of 1,824 grafts (1 hair graft = 564 grafts, 1 long and 1 short hair graft = 114 grafts, 2 hairs graft = 950 grafts, 3 hairs graft = 196grafts; total number of hairs = 3,759 hairs). Below are his pre op and one year three months post op photos. He is very happy with the result and continues with 5 mg oral Minoxidil only.inoxidil only.
