Age: 59 | Bald Class: Bald Class 3v Email Me

My first two hair transplants were performed by Dr. Shelly Friedman in Phoenix, AZ.  The first procedure was 1500 grafts and he was contracted by MHR to do the transplant.  The second procedure was 1050 grafts and Dr. Friedman was working with the National Hair Center at that point.  Although I have no pre/post op pics from those two procedures, Dr. Friedman did quality work.  He created the slits for the grafts; all the actual graft placement was done by his assistants.  I recently had my third transplant with Dr. Jerry Cooley in Charlotte, NC.  Dr. Cooley placed 1947 grafts.  Throughout the entire process, Dr. Cooley himself placed 90% of the grafts.  Obviously, it will be almost a year before I can actually view the final results from this most recent transplant.  I feel lucky to have had quality work done on all three occasions.

Non-Surgical Treatments:

Propecia stablized the hair loss.  For me, hair transplantation was the only way to get back the look I desired.

My Hair Loss Story

My father lost most of his hair during his lifetime.  Once I hit my early thirties, my hair began to thin on top.  It really was a helpless feeling thinking there wasn't anything I could do to stop the hair loss.  With the hair loss came a loss of my self confidence.

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

What hair loss treatments would I recommend?

Definitely take Propecia (it is your friend); it will stablize your hair loss.  Use Rogaine.  Find a quality surgeon to perform your transplant(s).

How has hair restoration surgery changed my life?

Yes.  Although it has taken some time, the final result is well worth the wait.  You can't put a price tag on happiness.

My general advice and suggestions.

If you are really concerned about your hair loss, take the necessary steps to deal with it.  Personally, I feel that hair transplantation is really the only way to get the results most people desire.  Life is short...you can't take the money with you.  Do something good for yourself.  You won't regret it.
